Ok, so I’ve been seeing HDR everywhere (& if I may add – – – LOVING the results!!!)… Not knowing what HDR is, I started doing a bit of research about it… I think I’ve got the basic idea, so while I was walking with my dogs (obviously camera in hand!!!), I decided to see if I can shoot anything that I can experiment with!!!
Ok, so these ARE NOT GOOD… but I am quite excited about HDR because:
1. If I were to use a tripod (instead of doing 3 handheld shots… I know I know, but I wasn’t planning this) these would already be better…
2. I L.O.V.E the clouds!!! 😀
3. This is a new skill that I can learn, practice & develop!!! 😀

As far as the watermark goes… Thank you so much for all the feedback!!! I’m going to design one that is true to what/who I am – – – so hopefully I’ll replace my boring initials with a proper watermark sooner rather than later!!! 😀 **

I don’t know what HDR is… but may I just say… WONDERFUL!!!!!!!! The pictures are precisely the sort of thing I love! And the colours in the lower two are positively excellent.
As to the watermark, I’m just gonna tell ya, there is NOTHING boring about the initials “X.V.”!!! Two of my favourite letters in the alphabet. Obscure, and romantically mysterious. I like them. And J…

HDR is great. I have also experimented in the past with it.
Some questions:
1)What software did you use to generate the outcome?
2) How many steps did you use? 3,5,7….
3) You’ve played with the exposure inside the software right? Because without a tripod you couldn’t have managed minimum 3 identical shots with 3 different exposure settings…
Hi there!!! I used photoshop cs5 to generate these shots with 3 steps -2,0,+2!!! The only photo that I changed the exposure in the photoshop was subject 2 (because I found it a bit dark & the bench was dissappearing…)!!! I used the setting that takes 3 photographs directly after one another at the chosen bracket setting!!! The alignment of the three separate exposures was a little out, but I am glad to say that photoshop aligns (&thus also crops) them automatically!!! Then there is a further option of “removing ghosts” that I chose to do & it gave me a much clearer picture!!! But when I stumble upon a suitable HDR subject in future I do hope that I’ll have a tripod with me – – – as I know the result would look MUCH better!!! 🙂 **

These are great! I don’t know why you think they aren’t, even handheld you have a really good sense of what you want to capture in your shot and you frame your pictures really well. I LOVE the first one with the slide. There’s… something great about it. Good job girl! 🙂

I just noticed you initial are Roman Numerals for 15! I think these pictures would be better in landscape than portrait. I have a distinctive style when I am writing and that’s what I’m looking for in photography. I listen to suggestions but tend to go my own way! HDR isn’t for me but having seen these, I might try it at some time. I think I can do it with Photoshop elements. It pays to experiment both with writing, photography and art.

So cool… 🙂 I find suggestions guide me towards something… I because I don’t have a style yet (still discovering + lots of learning and enjoying 😀 ), I do find that I love to hear what people think… Every person seeks something unique that relates to them & so am I!!! I discovered HDR photography, just yesterday, myself. I love it. Your first attempts on HDR have put my first attempts to shame.
