London, UK – Big Ben

Big Ben 2004

I know… You’ve seen this a million times…. all the photos look the same… from this angle  everyone has seen it…!!! 😦 But it still is a special Travel Memory for me… & will always be one of my favourite attractions of London!!! 😀 It certainly is “engineery” enough to keep my attention!!! 😀

Cindy from ‘Photos from the Loony Bin’ did a post a while back with some VERY interesting facts on Big Ben (also known as the Clock Tower, but whos real name is St. Stephen’s Tower!!! – – – I know, what??? – – – Head on over to Cindy’s post for more info!!!) 🙂 **

I Love you Big Ben!!! 😉 **

You know the more I look at this image, the more I love it. There is something about the angle, the absence of colour, the sky. Also, all the photos don’t look the same, I love this one. 🙂

I think it’s a great photo! I love the black and white! The clouds are super…and the B&W brings out the architecture in the tower. Cool!

Yep, that is Big Ben alright! But have you seen Little Ben, Xandre? If not, then when you visit London again, you will find it on the intersection of Vauxhall Bridge Road and Victoria Street, in Westminster, close to Victoria station. Do a Google search for Little Ben Clock and you will find it!

    Cheers

Black and white definitely enhances the detail and brings out character of this subject! Walked passed Big Ben plenty of times and never thought of taking a photo – This shot, I love ’cause it captures everything I miss and overlook about this big hunk of metal all in one shot! Love it!!

I LOVE that photo, and in black and white it is pure genius. Goldilocks was enchanted by it. Both of the “little” grandkids love to see the blogs I follow and to “help” me choose my blog photo. Since they were with us this weekend, I had lots of help, haha.
