Sharing a few of my first tilt-shift photos!! I got quite a few spots in mind that I would like to go and take photographs from – so still lots more experimenting to do!! 😀
Ok, so it is obvious I still have to figure this out – but this is just the beginning… Still lots to learn & discover, what works, what doesn’t, processing etc. etc.
Practise makes perfect!! 😀 **
Very pretty pictures 🙂
I love these type of pictures! I have yet to try creating tilt-shift pictures myself.
I’ve done a little reading about it, but haven’t tried it, I gather it is hard, but great to see you doing it. You sound a little disappointed, but I am sure once you get the technique down, it will become really clear what type of images you need to do it. I have no idea, but I like what I’m seeing so far. 🙂
I am a little frustrated – but I think I just need more practise!!! I’m going to try & get some shots to practise on this weekend!!! Hopefully the result will be more satisfying!!! 🙂 **
I was playing around with the new photoshop the other day and it now has a tilt shift blur filter. I haven’t played with it.
I think it really depends on the images. I did read that you have to be looking down, but that is all I know and I am sure you know that as well.Good luck, I am looking forward to seeing what you do. 🙂
Very interesting process. Great photoz.
The last one is really well done 🙂
I love seeing your process…practice away and keep sharing.
Thanks TBM!!! I’m enjoying the new technique – although it is a little frustrating!!! Practise makes perfect right!! … 😉 **
I love the 1st motorway shot
I am unfamiliar with the term tilt-shift (am about to check your blog further). In the meantime, with the exception of the pool photo, these look like photographs of miniature ie manmade, scenes. Fascinating.
Aha! It is the miniature look. I am intrigued and await further photos from you. I reckon these are great and am pondering how you get the focus right.
Hahahaha…. Thanks a lot!! I do everything post-processed!!! I posted the tutorial that I used on my facebook page – check it out if you want to join in the fun!!! It is quite an interesting (&pretty tricky) process…. I still have a long way to go, not quite getting the results I’m looking for!!! 🙂 **
love the last three, they have that miniature look the best to me. So, are you using post processing to get the tilt-shift or are you using some other technique?
Unfortunately I only use post processing!!! These type of lenses costs a fortune!!! Thanks Abra!!! Have you tried any??
I discovered a site that does the post processing for you…tiltshiftmaker.com I just opted for the free versions, but even with that I was able to change quite a few things, it’s so much fun! Thanks for getting me into it! 😀 I want to miniaturize EVERYTHING!
Whaaaaaaaat??? I’m going to have to check it out!! Although I will keep practising the manually changing it – it is quite difficult!!! 🙂 **
I love tilt-shift! These are excellent. 🙂

…great shots… what tilt shift do you use??? g*
Thanks Grant!! I don’t use a tilt shift lens… I dcreate this in post-processing!!! Maybe one day, when I own something else than the standard kit lens I’ll be able to explore the endless possibilities that photography has to offer!! until then…. thanks for stopping by!! 🙂 **
…wow love the effect… do you do it in photoshop??
g*
Yes!! I currently work on CS5 – but there are tons of tutorials on the web for other versions as well!! 🙂 **
Very impressive! I can’t avert my eyes, I love tilt-shift!
Well done. The 5th photo is my favourite.
