Prague: Underground Stations

A few of the underground stations in Prague – an example of the funny names (which is not pronounced like you would think – AT ALL!!!)😀

I found them quite depressing – no/dull colours!! It’s almost as if there is still a war going on…

Love these shots, Xandré. It’s been almost 20 years since I’ve been to Prague and I remember being struck by the contrasts when I was there too. Many parts that I saw were also quite monotone – a very post world war 2, eastern European thing. In other areas however, there was a terrific vibrancy and energy which made it so wonderful. I’d love to go back.

The feel of these stations for me is reminiscent of my experience in Germany in 1960. There really is a post world war ambiance about the place. Great illustration shots here.
