    Hi Xandre,

Thanks for visiting my blog, I checked out your photos; i like the before and after. I’ve just started trying Photoshop again but find it slow. I write blogs most days and think of myself as a writer more than a photographer. I have just entered a photographic contest though, my work gets exhibited if I win! I’m in England and so have different subjects to you.

Hi Xandre – Thanks for the nomination for the Versatile Blogger Award! Still not completely sure about the purpose – will check it out! It is very pleasing and gratifying to receive after only a few blogs. It feels like being nominated for the Oscars! I only have three bloggers following my blog and one of those is you – so I will wait a while before doing the same thing! Be sure that you will be included, even if you have been nominated a couple of times already! Do so many nominations give you a free trip to Paris or somewhere? Ha! Ha! Thanks again, Xandre!

Hi Xandre – This can get rather confusing because I am replying to your latest message to me – which I have replied to on the same post that you wrote on – but I was not sure you would follow up on it or not – because I am not sure if anyone reads the replies I add to comments left on my posts!!! Good grief!!! Anyway, you can pop over and read it if you wish! If you don’t then a Happy New Year to you and to ‘he who knows (oops ‘thinks’) he’s boss’! Glad you enjoyed your holiday and I think I have caught up with all of your posts that I missed! So now I will just have to wait patiently for your next ones to arrive! Hear from you soon!

love your blog, I wanted to pursue civil engineering for a time, but I lost interest after I interned at a firm and disliked it, maybe because the people were boring. Can you tell me what you like about the field? I’m in high school..

Hahahahaha…. well, if the people bored you, then you definitely should not become an engineer (for engineers are the funniest people ever…. many with a super dry sense of humor – which I love!!!) What I love about civil engineering is the structures. That is the department that I’m in… I just love how concrete and steel work together & how I am the one determine the amount & design thereof!!!! It truly is a passion of mine!!! 🙂 I hope you find your passion soon!!!! 🙂 **

    Greetings from Australia Xandre,
I really enjoyed reading through your biography, and ca sympathise with your view on politics. While working in the UK I met some lovely South Africans and have noticed that many are immigrating to Australia. Regarding your photography one word of advice”Photograph what you are passionate about, let your heart guide you and your soul manifest that which the mind sees”
Take great care on your journey with photography .

      Hi Konstantine

Thank you for such kind and inspiring words!! It is true that sometimes one loses sight of what captures you… In a struggling world were people often conform, I strongly believe that one should always stay true to oneself!!! Words to remember…. Yes, I myself know quite a few people personally that have moved to Australia!!! We moved to Canada just two months ago…. Crazy adventure!!! Although, hoping to return to SA oneday!! (hopefully sooner rather than later!!!) Thank you for reading/looking at my blog – & returned the favour and will be a loyal follower of your blog!!! Just love your captures!! Keep well & God bless!!
