The Mission District in San Francisco (also know as the “Mission”), is home to wide variety of cultures. The most prominent of these being, Spanish and Mexican. Throughout the Mission, walls and fences are decorated with Murals. These murals were initiated by the Chicano Art Mural Movement in the 1970’s and inspired by the traditional Mexican paintings made by the famous Diego Rivera.
The secret to travelling in Europe (especially Austria) – ALWAYS look up!! 😀
You will NEVER be disappointed of the priceless artwork you will find on the ceilings… 🙂 **
It’s time for my ‘Travel Lane’ post for the week!!! This was one of the first places me & my mom visited when arriving in Vienna! I can’t remember if it is a church or cathedral or anything… I can’t even remember the name of the church (I’m going to call it this for the remainder of the post!!)… It was closed that day, no visitors allowed… But it still left a memory branded in my – well, memory!! – that is forever impressive!!
Have you been to Vienna?? 🙂 **
No, this is not picture from the very romantic Rome or Vienna or anything of the sorts… It is a (very) random piece of art – – – for lack of a better word… sculpture? no…. – – – from our garden wall!!!
